Story Behind the Song: My younger son works in the forest industry in British Columbia. After a hard day in the bush he likes to unwind with a little bit of fishing and relax time. This song 'Down By the Lazy River' is dedicated to all the men and women who tirelessly work to help keep our Canadian forests alive and prosperous. 🎶 johannlowenberg.bandcamp.com/track/down-by-the-lazy-river

The Story Behind the Song: A couple of times a year I go up to play Geneva Park near Orillia Ontario. One of my favourite places to perform due to the wonderful acoustics of the room.. I've penned many a song by these windows 'Sunny Day Blues' included. Looking forward to a couple of shows this coming weekend. 🎶 johannlowenberg.bandcamp.com/track/sunny-day-blues
The Story Behind the Song: Often I come to this 'Enchanted Forest' near my home in Thornhill Ontario. It's taken me twenty years to learn how to write a song in twenty minutes. Once in the studio, I recorded 'The Wonder of You' in one take. As luck would have it, it made it to the album. 🎶 johannlowenberg.bandcamp.com/track/the-wonder-of-you
Johann The Story Behind the Song: We were at the Scarborough Town Center in Toronto, my older boy and I, waiting for his ride to the unknown. Mongolia this time. He's travelled the world extensively before and I was becoming immune to his new destinations. He said he'd be back in about ten minutes. Some errands to run. I quickly jotted down some verses, some sort of message that he might take with him to the other side of the world. "Travel far and wide my son and seek out the treasure that sits in your heart for you may find that there's No Place Like Home." 🎶 ... See MoreSee Less
