The Story Behind the Song: A couple of times a year I go up to play Geneva Park near Orillia Ontario. One of my favourite places to perform due to the wonderful acoustics of the room.. I've penned many a song by these windows 'Sunny Day Blues' included. Looking forward to a couple of shows this coming weekend. 🎶 johannlowenberg.bandcamp.com/track/sunny-day-blues
The Story Behind the Song: Often I come to this 'Enchanted Forest' near my home in Thornhill Ontario. It's taken me twenty years to learn how to write a song in twenty minutes. Once in the studio, I recorded 'The Wonder of You' in one take. As luck would have it, it made it to the album. 🎶 johannlowenberg.bandcamp.com/track/the-wonder-of-you
Johann The Story Behind the Song: We were at the Scarborough Town Center in Toronto, my older boy and I, waiting for his ride to the unknown. Mongolia this time. I quickly jotted down some verses, some sort of message that he might take with him to the other side of the world. "Travel far and wide my son and seek out the treasure that sits in your heart for you may find that there's No Place Like Home." 🎶 ... See MoreSee Less

Johann The Story Behind the Song: Spent some time down on the docks in St. John's Newfoundland a few years back with my pal Ron Hynes. Listening to the many tales of the monster storms out at sea and the struggles that the sailors and their families went through, inspired me to write this tune. 🎶
Johann The Story Behind the Song: It was a cool summer morning in North Vancouver back in 2015, sipping on a latte and waiting for the ferry to take me across the bay. I was on my way to the studio for another day of recording. I had this melody in my head for some time. The lyrics came to me in a rush and an hour later I was laying it down to tape. A train song written on a boat. 🎶 ... See MoreSee Less
